Google Startup Grants 2021 for Black Founders Fund(Africa)

Google is giving out grants for African entrepreneurs that have a startup and it is located in Africa

Criteria needed;

1. Startup must be located in Africa

2. Your product or service should be innovative

3. Having a startup name

4. You must have a startup website

5. The industry they support is: Advertising/Marketing, AgTech, Automotive, Biotech/Life sciences, Construction/Real Estate, Consulting, Consulting, Data&Analytics, Design/UX, E-commerce/Consumer, Education, Energy, Entertainment, Fashion/Beauty, Fintech, and some other business sectors being listed on their application website

6. Have a business team

7. Develop your business pitch deck

8. You must be the CEO, Founder, or Co-Founder of the startup

9. To increase your chances of getting selected, start your business registration process with Corporate Affairs Commission(for those that reside in Nigeria). Within two weeks, you can get your business name registered.

The applications deadline is July 7th, 2021

    Thank you for your informative and resourceful article. However I’d like some clarity about the business registration of startup. When you say ‘incorporation’ by CAC do you mean registration of business be or incorporation as a Private limited liability company (LLC)?

      Incorporation as a private limited liability company. As a sole proprietorship, you should do a business name registration. Thanks for the feedback. Will have to edit this post for more clarification purposes.
